how to remove driver door panel Ford Expedition to repair window regulator? 2000 Ford Expedition. Something is loose and the electric door locks dont work. I know there are some hidden clips to take the panel off, hoping you can tell mewhere they are.

But if your sure to got all the screws out on the door,handle etc. Most inside panels are removed by lifting away the lower part as you lift straight up from the top with some effort go slow - else you'll break something/clip or otherwise It wouldn't hurt to stop by a Autobody shop and ask for some free advice live long ---- be careful with that panel"

How do you remove a door panel off a 1998 Ford Expedition? The locking mechanism on the drivers side door broke after a security guard used a slim jim to unlock the door after my son locked the keys in the car at his school. Now a lose part in the door shattered the bottom part of the window. I would like to know how to take the door panel off so i could possibly see what is wrong and fix it.

UCANTCME replied: "Remove the armrest pad retaining screw. Remove the inside door handle screw and pull off the handle. If equipped with manual windows, remove the window regulator handle screw and pull off the handle and washer. On vehicles with power windows, remove the power window switch housing. If equipped with manual door locks, remove the door lock control. On vehicles with power door locks, remove the power door lock switch housing. On models with electric outside rear view mirrors, remove the power mirror switch housing. Remove the retaining screw and washer from the trim panel lower corner. Using a special door trim panel removal tool or a flat wood spatula, insert it carefully behind the panel and slide it along to find the push-pins. When you encounter a pin, pry the pin outward. Do this until all the pins are out. NEVER PULL ON THE PANEL TO REMOVE THE PINS!"

How do you remove the rear passenger door panel on a Ford 2003 Expedition.? My window motor only allows the window to go down and won't go up. I need to try to repair myself to cut costs.

monolith899 replied: "ive never done it myself or but theres got to be a couple of screws i would say no more than maybe 4 but that dosent mean there are four anyways once you get any screws off look for any small panels that look like they might pop out once you pop them all out make sure there arent any more screws behind those little panels once you think every screw is out try lifting upward on the door panel if that dosent work try pulling it out i guess you could get like a butter knife or something like that stick it between the door panel and the actual door and try prying it out if you think its gonna break stop"

James H replied: "Im pretty sure theres a bunch of little clips holding them on. you need like, a screw driver, or butter knife or something to pry them... If i were you, I'd pick up a haynes manual from autozone for 20 bucks. Trust me, for any future repairs or modifications, youll be damn glad you did."

How would I remove the door panels of my2001 Ford Expedition? I want to install new speakers and I don't want to destroy the doors in the process. Serious answers only. Thanx :D

rich2481 replied: "Checker or Autozone sell cheap door panel clip removers or Harbor Freight, you need to buy new clips anyhow, most times the little plastic will break and you cant reuse them, we have a place that does installs for a dollar if you buy their speakers, might check around your neck of the woods"
